Dear Preschool and Child Care Families,
Happy Spring!!
Spring has sprung which means the end of the year is fast approaching. In the coming weeks there are many fun and exciting events especially for our four year olds. Kindergarten round up, conferences and graduation along with our final fundraiser are fast approaching.
Conferences will be Monday March 19th from 3:45-7pm and Tuesday March 20th from 12:30-4pm. This is currently only open to our 4’s and Young Five parents. If you are a three's parent look to have conferences around April 23rd.
Kindergarten round up is Wednesday April 18th-19th from 4:45-7:20pm. You must- make an appointment at Walnut Hills (this does not mean they will attend at Walnut) by calling 616-754-3688. All Mount Calvary children WILL need to have and hearing and vision screening. We do not do either testing here at the center.
Graduation is Tuesday June 5th 2012 at 6:30pm. We ask that the children arrive by 6:15pm. The cost for graduation this year is $5 for the purchase of their cap. Each child will get a cap and tassel to keep. Gowns are borrowed for the night and returned following graduation. Anyone is welcome to attend. This is only for graduating 4’s and Young Fives.
Mancino’s night is our second and final fundraiser of the year. Mark your calendars for Monday April 30th from 5-8pm. This is a fun event for the whole family . As the date gets closer I will be looking for Volunteers to help during the event. It is very easy to help. All you need to do is show up, help bus tables, refill drinks and then eat, or you can do it in reverse order and eat and then help out. All proceeds will be going to the purchase and construction of a new entrance through our fellowship hall just for the center and its families.

Our Mission
The mission of Mount Calvary Christian Preschool is to give support to the home for a child's early Christian training and to supplement learning and social experiences to enable them to develop their talents and skills for responsible Christian living and service.
Mount Calvary Christian Child Care is planned to provide a safe, secure, loving environment for children ages 3 to 12 before school, after school and for days/times when school is not in session. This program will run Mondays through Fridays from 6 am to 6 pm each day, year around, unless otherwise noted.
- To tell about God in everyday life and share the love of Jesus Christ.
- To assist in gradual adjustment from home to school life.
- To develop creative abilities.
- To broaden interests and experiences.
- To promote learning through work and play in a Christian environment under the guidance of a qualified Christian teacher.
- To provide companionship with children of the same age.
- To help each child learn how to cope with life at his/her own level of maturity.
- To assist in the development of good personal habits and manners.
